Individual Therapy
$160 for 50 min.
(sliding scale $100 - $155)
It's important to go at a pace that works for you and you have control over what we work on. If it's helpful. I can move beyond empathy and deep listening to offer tools and skills. If or when you are ready and there is enough trust and safety in our work together, some times getting to the root of the issue can help with lasting, positive changes.
Relationship Therapy
$195 for 50 min.
(Sliding scale usually $160-$190)
I work with relationship partners to explore the dynamics and patterns in their relationship(s) using neurodivergent-affirming, gender-affirming, trauma-informed and attachment-informed approaches. This may include enhancing communication and intimacy, assistance with resolving conflicts, clarifying needs or boundaries, etc. I am able to work with people in different kinds of relationships (e.g. queer, gender expansive, non-monogamous, polyamorous, kinky, asexual, aromantic, etc.)
Hormone & Surgery Readiness Assessments
$350 - 75 min. session max. & form or letter
(sliding scale usually $250 - $345)
I have been trained to provide hormone readiness assessments and surgery readiness assessments for top surgeries and gonadectomies (e.g. removing an ovary or testis). The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care requires genital surgery (e.g. phalloplasty, vaginoplasty) assessments to be done by a medical professional.
Clinical Supervision
$150 for 50 min.
My supervision approach is intersectional, collaborative, person-centred and strength-based. I draw on over 14 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor to offer suggestions, resources, or another perspective and/or help you build your confidence as a helper. I am not an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) through the BCACC (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors). Here is a list of ACS: https://bcacc.ca/find-a-clinical-supervisor/
Consultation
by contract or contact me for rates (sliding scale available for non-profits)
I offer consultation for individuals and organizations, particularly on gender inclusion, neurodivergence, disabilities, LGBTQIA+ issues, anti-racism, anti-oppression, diversity, equity and inclusion, and intersectionality. This can include how to improve services or spaces for diverse clients and employees. I can facilitate groups and meetings, and advise about policy and practice. Reduced rates available for individuals and non-profits. Free 30 min. consultation available - feel free to contact me to book or discuss.
Indigenous Counselling
I have over 3.5 years of experience working with youth, adults, families and Elders at a Coast Salish First Nation. In addition, I have taken a one-year certificate program in Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma (IFOT) at the Justice Institute of BC, a 4-month Indigenous counselling course at the University of British Columbia, and a 6-week course in Indigenous Internal Family Systems (IFS) Fundamentals. As an approved mental health provider at FNHA, I have completed the San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety course. Ongoing learning, including decolonizing practices, is my commitment as an Asian settler and immigrant on unceded, ancestral and traditional Coast Salish territories, including xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilw̓ ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) territories . My experience assisting people with grief and loss, including complex grief, is another asset.
You may qualify for 10 sessions through the Métis Nation of BC and can apply at that link. This allows you to choose any registered or licensed mental health provider; they do not need to be pre-approved. FNHA also provides up to 22 sessions, and we may be able to apply for more sessions if needed. They changed their program and now only fund individuals with status. You may wish to check their website to see if you are eligible. Part of my role is to submit the FNHA paperwork on your behalf. If you are Inuit and/or do not have status, you may be eligible for NIHB - see the "Payment and Funding" section above for the link.
